Mighty Sushi

So I've been doing some serious slacking.  My bad.  But let me make it up to you.  I'll let you in on a little secret.  It's the best sushi on the east side of the island.  Mighty Sushi.  It's awesome.  It's amazing.  So much so that I ate (take-out) there for my birthday.  My husband picked up the sushi for me and told me that the place was empty.  On a Friday night.  Sad.  I can't really think of a reason for it.  Their prices are decent and the sushi is great.  The only thing lacking is the ambiance.  No ambiance to speak of whatsoever.  I am totally convinced that with a serious make over this place would be packed.  Oh yeah, and maybe quicker service.  Anywhos, if you are near Pahoa and have a serious hankering for sushi, stop here.

On the menu:

Sunrise roll.  My absolute favorite because I am so totally in love with raw salmon.  There is salmon in the roll and on top of it.

Lambadan roll.  Also excellent.  Tuna inside and fresh avocado on top.

Spicy tuna roll:  You can choose which type of fish you want in the spicy roll.

Kani roll: Made with real (not imitation) crab.  My husband likes this roll, but I find it a little bland.

Side note:  Most of their rolls have tempura style fish or other fried seafood.  I really like my seafood raw, and it seems like a majority of their rolls are fried or have fried ingredients.

Sunrise roll, partially devoured.

Lambada roll, ready to be inhaled.

Kani roll, top, and spicy tuna roll, bottom.
You'll find them at 15-2660 Keaau Pahoa Road in the Pahoa Marketplace.  I would eat take out though because of the slow service.  Call 808-965-9881.
